Random Entry
This is just an entry to show that I have been wanting to blog, but just could not find the right motivation.
Well.
Term 2 Week 2 Day 5 - now is 2.27am, still not asleep.
Anyway yesterday I had a rather odd experience, because I was in the state of literally half dream and half awake state, as in, I know what happens in my dream, as well as what's in the surroundings (turning of fan, blah)
Is this Lucid Dreaming or whatever.
Never mind.
Anyway, had a virus attack on this labtop (new one - just one year old) and I had to System Restore it. Back to sort-of normal now, so shouldn't be a big problem. One day I should invest on a external portable Harddrive, and I can backup my files there instead of the slow but quite reliable CD (though it breaks easily if I use force)
April's Fool coming. But it's a Saturday, no school. Wonder who should I bluff. Hm.
Sometime in the day, I can be feeling exceptionally energetic and motivated to do work, but this motivation can't hold long. Distractions?
Made a quote out of boredom.
"People say to always look forward in life, so history is redundant" which isn't true!
I know I like the book The English Teacher by RK Narayan, because everytime I read it, I gain some insights, but I just cannot find the motivation to read.
Inspiring quote supposed to be inspiring, but instead it became like a routine, a chore, for every class to do. It is too an irony when an inspiring quote is said by an uninspired person.
Wah. Such a random entry.
Bye.

The Conclusion of Term 1
Ah. Term 1 ended. Any reflections?
A lot, indeed, I must say.
On Thursday, went for Cross-Country. I ran 4.8km in like 31 minutes. That was considered VERY SLOW. Anyway, ate an ice-cream there. $1 was worth it. Took some lousy photos too. Was feeling rather uninterested in running, and even when the prizes were given out, usually I am most interested in this, but I was feeling rather unexcited, uninterested, indifferent (but I did note that Karntiban came in 20th and Adlin 3rd.)
The event ended an hour earlier than scheduled. 10am. Went with people to take 157 to Toa Payoh Interchange, where we had our lunch, and changed into "proper" attire. Interestingly, most of us brought 2/6 New class tee without informing each other I guess. "Bu Yue Er Tong".
I actually felt more comfortable with old friends.
Then we walked around Heeren, and took neoprints (except Naomi), and what else? Oh watched Jia Hao played Daytona, as usual, oh and with Huizhen too.
Mei Ching left.
Went to KBox with Naomi, Sok Mui, Mei Gui, Sheryl, Huizhen, Jia Hao.
Sang a few songs which I had never sung before. Lazy to list out.
Refilled the snacks (or tidbits?) for quite a lot of times. Knew that I can call 0 from the phone in the room. Hahas. Last song was Lian Ai ING. Enjoyed, but my voice was softer after that, only to recover when I reached home.
Ok. Then we walked to where? Oh. SOMERSET MRT STATION. This has been a landmark for many outings we had. Hm. Boarded the train. Obviously. Huizhen and Naomi left first, is it at Toa Payoh MRT? Well, then Sheryl left at Bishan. Jia Hao and me left at Ang Mo Kio, while (inferred) Sok Mui left at Admiralty and Mei Gui at Woodlands I guess.
Jia Hao took 73 and was off. I went to POPULAR (OMG IS MY LIFE ALWAYS BUGGED WITH STATIONERIES?) and looked around. Then thought through about the past days in 2006. Sigh. Went home.
At least I get to catch up with old friends.
The last day of term 1 has indeed been a rather plain one. First thing in lesson was that I received a major shock of my life. I GOT DC, because I didn't do a worksheet. I appeared to be rather calm in class, but I believe I was severely distracted, for the hours later, I remained neutral.
Went to collect the new timetable during recess. Only photocopied 10 copies because I am seriously broke, and I don't know where I spent my money on (Should flip my spending diary to check it out). Well, distributed in class.
And I did the worst Physics test ever. I didn't know how to do most of it, but just crapped "logical" things through.
Went to meet Mrs Goh at the staff room at 12.30pm, and got a vocabulary worksheet which I had done during her lesson in Sec 2. Well, finished it with the aid of a big dictionary from 4/3, after I had lunch - the last lunch in Term 1 - satisfied with the bowl of noodles though.
And I had CCA. I didn't bring my uniform, and I idled my time through. Shan't elaborate, but at the end of it, I went up to the 4th floor to look through the various stuff in class. Messy I would say. Concluded. Was inspired to write a "Term 1 Hui Yi Lu". Something like a reflection of Term 1. But then the inspiration subsided.
Sigh. There's the last NCC Camp in Anderson tomorrow. I wonder what it will be like? Will I still idle my time away? I don't know. Look out for my next chapter. (I sound as if I am blogging to a group of readers, when I do not even know who ACTUALLY reads my blog. Sometimes I even avoid putting sensitive issues so as to avoid trouble. I realise I actually care about what others said about me. Words can hurt me much, though I may seem undistracted on the surface. Now, when can I be more friendly to people?)

Campus SuperStar 9 Qiang Tong Le/Yue Hui
Sometimes, I really wonder who are the people who reads my blog. Put a counter at the main page, but I seldom check on it too. I usually forget the last figure I last saw.
Sometimes, I wonder if people find that my life is boring or whatever. I felt so too. Reading others' blog makes me feel like I've not spent my life to the fullest.
Anyway, I went for.. wait a minute. (I am blogging with resources)
Channel U’s SuperStars Unite!
This Saturday, aficionados of both Project SuperStar and Campus SuperStar can treat themselves to a personal session with not only the cast of Channel U’s new idol drama Dream Chasers but also a new generation of singing talents from Campus SuperStar!
Catch Tan Wei Lian, Kelly Poon, Hong Junyang, Chew Sin Huey, Jason Tan, Silver Ang and Shaun Chen sharing their filming experiences while Wei Lian and Kelly will also perform new songs from their debut albums!
Also look out for Campus SuperStar Semi-finalists Chen Yi Yuan, Hong Yu Yang, Adriano Huang, Ng Chee Yang, Renfred Ng, Teresa Tseng, Clara Tan, Ng Imm Khim and Geraldine See who will perform ‘live’ and play games with fans!
Date: Sat Mar 4, 2006
Time: 2.30pm - 5pm
Venue: Bishan Junction 8, Top of the 8 (Level 3)
Emcee: Y.E.S 93.3FM DJ Lim Pei Fen
(THE ORDER OF THE MESSAGE MADE IT SEEM AS IF PSS IS GOING BEFORE CSS. HOWEVER, THE TRUTH IS THAT CSS WENT FIRST, AND PSS AT 3.30PM. PEOPLE GOING AT 3.30PM MUST BE DISAPPOINTED TO SEE NO CSS, luckily I am one who always go at the earliest time.)
Ok. I met (this word seem like I met him unintentionally, but it was arranged. Is my english that bad?) Yong Seng at 2pm below his block of flat, which is JUST beside mine.
Walked up the park, which I was expecting to (the first time this happened, it was unpredictability to me, but now it became normal, things are like this aren't they?), because we had the same experience in the past.
Told him that I had brought along a camera. (Please refer to past entries if YOU, do not know how this camera came about. Please read carefully.)
Boarded a train, arrived at J8.
Bishan Junction 8, Top of the 8.
This is the place.
YES 93.3 DJ Lin Pei Fen was there to "entertain" the crowd. Questions were asked so that audience can participate. Prizes were given out - goodies bag with "MediaCorp" printed largely.
I was standing there, and watching silently. Meanwhile, taking out my camera to take some random shots. 1.2 Megapixel only. What can you expect for the quality?
9 semi-finalists came up.
Said "Hello. Da Jia Hao. Wo Shi 123", where 123 should be replaced with either one of their names.
Then, I forgot what happened. But guess the four girls sang Bu Xiang Zhang Da. Teresa was the first to go. Then C'est Si Bon (Renfred, Zhi Yang). Then Ai De Chu Ti Yan (Adriano, Yi Yuan, Yu Yang)
Played a game in which the emcee would post a question to the contestants and they would write their answers on drawing blocks (A3 paper).
Some of the questions asked (translated though):
1. Who eats the most?
Yi Yuan
2. Who likes to being late? / Who is usually late for rehearsals, practices, etc?
Geraldine. Worst experience
3. Who has the best results?
Zhi Yang. Straight A1s
4. Who is the most "guai"?
Teresa
5. Who is the most humorous (gao xiao)?
I forgot the answer.
There are more questions, but I had forgotten already. (Ironic isn't it? How do you know there are more questions when you "had forgotten already"?)
Then the played games. Cai Quan, and whatever Quans. Asked some fans of those finalists to go up. One for each. If the fan won the game, then he/she is entitled to take a photo with their idol on stage, of course by the people in-charged of this event.
Played Played (This is extremely summarised). I took photos meanwhile, quality was clear on my camera, but when zoomed in, the photos were blur. The finalists then gathered and let MediaCorp Staff (this is inferred) take photos. Of course, when they gathered, you could see hands raising, holding up devices which CAN (current/universal truths) produce images on a screen. These devices are not only cameras, but also handphones, and viewcams. Any other devices capable of taking digital photos? (Nice analysis, LOL.)
Then Yong Seng and I left the place, and went directly to the area near the Long John's Silver. There was a mini bus there, and by the side there was a label showing "MediaCorp Bishan MRT Shuttle". There was people going up on the bus, and I actually saw one of them on stage taking shots just now. I really thought the contestants were really going to board this bus, and waited rather impatiently for them. I realised (or inferred) that this was not the truth when there were only few people there. The bus left, in a direction I had not expected.
We went up to Level 3 again. The board on the stage had changed, from CSS to PSS. I felt !@#$%^&*() (no word to describe - wrong, can't think of a word to describe me) for not being able to see how they changed it, because it IS big. Probably they ARE just wallpapers. I took a photo.
Then we went to roam about J8. Took a photo of J8 Escape Route Plan. The lines on this plan showed up as coloured on my camera, but when zoomed, the colours turned to black. This was interesting, because the lines looked black physically too.
We went to take a look at thumbdrives and other stuff at CyberActive.
I also saw Natalie and Anna, but didn't greet them. Guess they saw me also, and did the same thing? Actually I saw Natalie already, when I just arrived at J8, but I GUESS she did not see me.
Went to lean on the wall in front of the KFC Counters. I pondered over a while befor deciding to buy a Shrooms Meal. There was no seat, and decided to take away.
What we ordered: Regular Lemonade ($2 - paid by Yong Seng), [Shrooms Burger, Medium Coke, Cheese fries ($4.05 - paid by myself)]
Went to sit down at the stairs near Yoshinoya (hope I had spelt it correct), which we had gone to before, to eat. This stairs actually led to Level 3, Top of the 8. But on the way, it was blocked by metal wheel barriers.
We shared the cheese fries. He consumed the Lemonade. I ate my Shrooms Burger.
At around 4.40pm, I decided that I want to go up again to watch the PSS. But it has already ended. Yong Seng then left to take MRT, as he said his relatives were going to treat him Beef Steak - I know there is a word to summarise this two word, is there? Sirloin?
I went up obviously. People were leaving the area. 1234567890 people. When the crowd subsided, I went in, and saw that there were fewer people. I felt down, because I missed the event - I didn't even see the Project SuperStars.
Went to walk around J8. Saw Yi Jun, when she was on the escalator. A more detailed analysis would be that I saw her before stepping onto the escalator, I looked back a few times and saw that she did the same thing. Planned to greet her. When I reached Level 4, I purposely walked slowly, hoping that she would spot me, and she did. Wave my hand at her, and guess she did the same thing. But she seemed tired. I walked on. (and this IS how primary school mates saw each other after 4 years.)
Went to Popular. Went to look at labtops, to look at thumbdrives, dvd players.
Most importantly, look at people.
Went home.
This was how I spent half of my Saturday. Last week I went to Jia Hao's house, this week this event, what about next? Will I be able to predict? Will I still write a blog entry next Saturday? Let's see next Saturday.
Bye.

Never ever.
I have never ever experienced something worse than this.
I failed English! ENGLISH. Do you believe your eyes? Do you know that I failed English? Do you know I obtained a score of 49?
Life is indeed full of ironies. I have been typing in almost-perfect English for every blog entry, for every forum reply, and even in conversations. Ironically, I failed English.
Some words are suitable to describe me now.
Distracted.
Stressful.
Aimless.
Detached.
Anxious.
Tired.
Sad.

Distracted
Finally found the mood to blog.
I've decided not to drool on to the past, ie, look at the last entry. It's been staying there for don't know how long. Very long indeed. I guess I should look forward instead of looking backwards. Ironically, we study history.
Ah. So I thought these few days are going to be the most relaxed of my whole Sec 4 life. But apparently it isn't. ISN'T. Was clogged up with many assignments, and my procrastination of homework made them seem even agressive. They're eating me up. I've been feeling that I did homework for the sake of JUST doing homework. There is no passion in them.
For the past weeks, we've been having common tests.
I guess it's time for me to update on my scores. Please wait a minute.

English Comprehension: 10.5/25.
I thought I would pass. I thought I did well. Vocabulary pulled me down the drain. Ha. Guess I am just giving excuse.
Chinese Main Paper: 22/35.
This was actually about 3rd or 4th in class. I thought I had done well, until I read others' blogs. I am looking down on myself, I guess. No, I hope not. What am I talking about?!
Chinese Summary: 12/20.
2nd in class. Rather satisfied. But behind every satisfaction, there are elements of dissatisfaction. Had always been average at summarising in Chinese, so I guess this isn't something to boast about.
Anyway, MY CHINESE OVERALL GOT AROUND LIKE 64?! I almost killed myself.
EMaths: Statistics test and the circle properties test. Sigh. I actually got 19/30 for the circles properties. Bad obviously. Well, overall 68. B3. A Contrast to my AMaths.
AMaths: For the first time since I stepped into upper sec life, I got A1 for my AMaths, and this time it was by sheer luck. Exactly on the spot of 75. I guess the differentiation test really pulled up my score - I got 18/20 for that. IF ONLY I HADN'T COMMITTED THAT CARELESS MISTAKE!
Geography: My geography scores for Sec 1 and Sec 4 seemed the same. I remembered I failed geography in sec 1. And this time, I failed geography for sec 4 term 1. Shan't reveal my score publicly. Couldn't bear to see a underlined score on my report card. I would feel guilty. Mdm Neo said I had misinterpreted the question. Probably I wrote too much. But my points are there. It's not like I don't know human geography. Hadn't been doing well for geography since term 3 last year too. Trend?
Literature Elective: I thought I would fail, or get higher. 15/25. Mrs Goh marked the two questions and gave an overall mark. I wrote something about irony in the script, which I thought was pretty inspiring at the point of scripting, but as I read it just now, it didn't give me the sense of satisfaction of having that thought penned down then. I wonder what makes me like this. One moment I can remember this, and one moment I can't. Anyway, that thought about that irony issue wasn't very well phrased in my opinion now. HEY! I did say at the start of this entry to look FORWARD. Shall not brood over this for the time being, which means I may brood over it for another time being. (Having problems understanding?)
Been feeling that I haven't been friendly enough to people. Been copying homework all these while, except for some which I totally know how to do. Couldn't believe someone like me actually resorts to copying homework for the sake of handing it up. Guess everyone's mark-oriented.
At least I feel better after blogging. The thought of blogging an entry has been hovering over my mind for decades. Today, I found the mood. Should I congratulate myself? I don't know.
Off to think about some school work.
"Life is full of ironies".
